  CALL FOR POSTERS

The ICGSE 2010 Organizing Committee invites poster submission for the IEEE International Conference on Global Software Engineering (ICGSE), which will take place from August 23-26 in Princeton, NJ, USA.

The purpose of the poster session is to provide an informal setting for participants to discuss their practices, their experiences, or their late-breaking research. Suggested topics for research papers apply to posters. In addition, organizations engaged in deploying global software teams are encouraged to use this venue to present their management approaches to distributed teams.

Requirements for the Poster Submission

Poster submissions should consist of a two-page paper describing the poster. The paper should have a title and contain the names and contact information of the authors. They should follow the same format requirements as those listed for the conference research papers.

Poster submissions are not to be an advertisement for a company but a presentation of an issue, research or a problem associated with global software development.

The person submitting the poster must also be registered for the ICGSE conference in order to have the poster be displayed at the ICGSE and printed in the proceedings.

Poster Preparation Guidelines

Each poster will have a display space approximately 4 feet wide and 5 feet high. The poster is expected to follow the International Standards Organization (ISO) poster size format (A0) in portrait orientation. The dimensions for A0 format are 84cm x 119cm, or approximately 33" x 47". Audiovisual and computing equipment will not be supplied. Power outlets will not be available. During parts of the conference, posters will be displayed in an area where attendees meet during session breaks. You are responsible for putting your poster up and removing it by the deadlines given to you by your Poster Chair. Posters will be accompanied by a specially scheduled poster session, where you are required to stand by your poster to be available for discussion. In the past, the inclusion of a packet of the author's business cards or a small mailbox attached to the poster has proved an effective way to communicate with interested people when you are not present.
