Special Issue on Rapid System Prototyping
This special issue of ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems intends to covers topics that are in synergy with the 18th International Workshop on Rapid System Prototyping (RSP). The aim of this special issue is to present recent advances and the state-of-the-art in design techniques, modeling, testing methods, validation principles, formal methods for the verification of software and hardware, methodologies, and tools for embedded systems.
The topic areas of this special issue include but are not limited to:
• Integration models for hardware-intensive and/or software intensive embedded systems
• Specification and language models for hardware/software embedded systems
• Methodologies and tools for hardware and software intensive embedded systems
• Software/Hardware codesign and tradeoffs
• Embedded system verification/validation
• Domain-specific models for prototyping
• Prototyping of embedded/real-time systems
• Simulation & Prototyping of Application-specific Systems-on-Chip
A selected number of top papers from RSP 2007 are invited by the guest editors for review. Authors of these papers are asked to extend their work for a TECS journal publication, which is then subjected to rigorous review process. Authors with new breakthroughs in related areas are also encouraged to submit their papers. Authors should submit their journal version at Manuscript Central adhering to the formatting instructions on the TECS Web page and indicate that you are submitting to the Special Issue on Rapid System Prototyping.
