My name is Paulo Henrique Lemelle Fernandes, I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science from INP Grenoble, France (1998), a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. both in Computer Science from UFRGS, Porto Alegre, Brazil (1990 and 1988).
I am a Full Professor in Computer Science Department of PUCRS University, Porto Alegre, Brazil, and I have been teaching there since March 1988. During this time I had also act as Visiting Researcher at LFCS, University of Edinburgh, UK in 2007-2008, Visiting Professor at IT Division, University of South Florida, USA in 2013.
I have been an active researcher in Stochastic Modeling domain awarded by CNPq (Brazilian Ministry of Science funding agency) grants continuously since August 1998. I have also acted as Principal Investigator in several projects funded by both Governmental Agencies and Private and Public Companies. Notably PETROBRAS oil company, Siemens USA and Siemens Brazil, Brazilian (CNPq, CAPES, FINEP and FAPERGS) and European (COFECUB) funding agencies.
