EBB 2009

* New deadline for poster abstracts submission is June 16, 2009 *

Before the BSB 2009, a school on Bioinformatics, the Second Brazilian School on Bioinformatics (II EBB - II Escola Brasileira de Bioinformática), will be held at PUCRS,.

The aim of the schoool is to create an opportunity for students and researchers to learn and discuss about new techniques and trends in bioinformatics.

Courses are programmed with theoretical and practical parts. There will also be lectures, presenting complementary topics. Some of these lectures will be held together with the BSB 2009, hence promoting an integration of these two events.

The EBB 2009 will also have an open discussion session about the tendencies of bioinformatics in academy and industry.

EBB Participants are invited to submit abstracts of their work, which will be presented at EBB in the poster format. The EBB 2009 abstracts will be published in a CD with ISBN.

Through the posters' presentations, the participants are encouraged to promote and discuss their current research in Bioinformatics. This is particularly interesting for students, which can obtain return about their work in the area.

The number of participants will be announced shortly.

ABSTRACT AND POSTER PREPARATION

A one-page abstract describing the poster content must be submitted via the Submission link above in Word or pdf formats.

The abstracts should have one page and a two column format. They may be written in English or Portuguese. Templates are available for Microsoft Word (in English and in Portuguese).

The deadline for poster abstracts submission is June 16, 2009.

Reviews of the abstracts will be sent by e-mail to the authors by a date to be defined.

Recommended poster size: 70 cm of width x 100 cm of height or 90 cm x 100 cm.
